Parisot Village
The village of Parisot is 15 minutes on foot, along a track just above the house.
In the village you’ll find a bar – La Maison – perfect for your morning coffee or afternoon apéritif. It has a wonderful shaded terrace with beautiful views across the fields and woodland of Parisot and the Tarn et Garonne. La Fourchette et Cie is the village restaurant, open all evenings in the summer and every lunch time. They offer a “menu du jour” each day. There is a small village shop where you can buy most things you’ll need, including fresh fruit and vegetables, dairy products, tinned food and fresh meat.
Friday morning is Parisot market day. There are also local markets in Najac, Caylus, Saint-Antonin and Caussade, all within 30 minutes of Parisot.
Parisot lake (Lac de Parisot) is a 5 minute walk from the house. Les Poissons Volants is a lovely “beach bar" offering a small menu (including a vegetarian option) local beer and wine, and ice creams. Every Thursday in July and August the lake hosts the Marché Gourmand with several food stalls offering local produce to take away and eat at the Guingette. There is always a great vibe with live music.
Parisot hosts to an annual art festival 'Festival des Arts en Balade' in July (www.fabparisot.com) and Franco-English
literary festival 'Festilitt' in October (www.festilitt.com)
